26/10/24 New podcast episode
This week I’ve been quite sick with a cold or flu (don’t ask me which one because I didn’t test for anything lol) anyway, I’ve still managed to film and post my next podcast episode and get it uploaded! I am aiming to film these episodes every Tuesday and uploaded by the end of the weekend (but preferably on a Friday night). I’ve really gotten into listening to video podcasts on YouTube while I work on my crochet or products for my shop. You can watch my latest episode here https://youtu.be/U62d95KXS9U?si=9dKvMTbzS7pUgyot
Podcast episode 2
This week I went for a Quick Look around at spotlight, last week I had bought some Abby Road cotton and tried the market bag tutorial from Stephanie Zed on YouTube. I loved it so much I went to see if I could get any cotton on sale. I chose one skein of the Rainbow colour way “ Fizzos” from the sunshine cotton collection Because I kept the first bag I made in this colour way for myself and I’ll be able to make a bag in this colour way for the shop. I was looking for the colour way “Freckles” but it wasn’t there so I chose a second colour called “Wizz Fizz”

The cotton was on sale for $8 for VIP members so I was happy with this. However I continued to browse the store and BOOM! On and End cap was a clearance of Abby Road cotton in the collection named “freedom” they were only $5 a skein! So in true crafter style I stocked up! If you’d like to see the haul, check out the podcast video but I will post a picture of the colour ways I secured here. I’ll be making bags for the shop. One skein makes one bag with a little left over. I’m going to base my pricing of the bags on what Passioknit Kelsie charges on her website as these bags do take 4 hours for me to make.
Look at all the colours I scored! Some discontinued and some still in the sunshine cotton collection.

Each colour way is working up so beautifully and I can’t wait to finish one ball and start the next! Next week I’ll be working on a bag from the colour way Wizz Fizz, unlike the last 2 colour ways that contained beige tones amongst the bright colours, Wizz fizz is very Mermaid-like with bright yellow, mixed with purples and blues. Stay tuned to the what’s new blog to see the progress next week. Next week I am also spending some hours on the hugs and kisses crochet along so check out the crochet along blog post to see how the beautiful colour palette s working up. Till next time, Happy crocheting! Bec
